Young Atlanta Fashion Show
One of Atlanta’s Hidden Gems.
On September 22nd, we had the privilege of attending the Young Atlanta Fashion Show “II World Wars” in Atlanta. Ga. The show was hosted at the Delta Flight Museum, delivering an immensely elevated and unique runway experience, with a huge plane dead center of the runway. Salute to all the models who walked, as we’re sure that was no light task. Young Atlanta had the house packed out, with line stretching to the parking lot past kickoff. There had to be no less than 1000 people present for this production.
The show was created by the youth for the youth, consisting of 18 designers and over 100 models, and they did not come to play! The show lived up to the hype from the venue, designers intros, music choices, and the designs themselves, not one mark was missed. The designers all had their own unique styles and highlighted various areas of the culture. From streetwear, club wear, formal wear and even beach wear there was nothing that couldn’t be in your closet. This is not just our opinion, as the audience was showing all the love all night.
We were truly stunned at how entertaining the show was. Most fashion shows, although the designs are lovely, can be stuffy and dull environments. Not Young Atlanta, the overall production of the show was well put together and something that many upcoming fashion experiences could learn from. Everything about this show was captivating and screamed “for the us, by us”. Which is what we love to see!
We were pleased we even got to see some fan favorite designers such as @modamuneca, @the.orphicbrand, @3l3m3ent_pieces, @omarevealed and @_devdadon, who came with some new drops, that were eating the girls up.
Speaking of eating, the models were effortlessly strutting the runway like it was their last meal. Models such as @tristacottrell, @Callmedeja, @roddieJuice, @denise.huxtable, @Marlana_themodel, and many more showed us how you’re supposed to rock a look.
Young Atlanta is not a new name on the scene, but they are unquestionably entering their takeover era. This organization deserves more recognition from the Atlanta community. We will certainly be keep our eye on this organization as they deliver more productions.
Looking forward to another amazing exhibition.
